A Case for SquareSpace

Over the past 24 hours I’ve delved back into the world of errors and disappointments with WebHosting. Thinking that I could roll out the SAVED framework in a subpage of the Data-Field.Guide, it should be easy to use GitHub Pages and host it that way.

I was wrong.

I re-installed multiple versions of Ruby, bundle updated and bundle exec jekyll served to no avail. Then I found this old blog. What do you know. I started writing this pre-pandemic. I was between jobs, and wanted something nice to host my stuff. GitHub Pages seemed like the obvious solution.

I was right. And then forgot about it.

Now I’m back, test driving a simpler setup and quite liking it thank you very much.
